Team Operations Manager

SF Standard is a fast-growing startup publication in San Francisco that aims to help every San Francisco resident better know their city. As our team heads back into the office and out into the city to cover the top headlines, we need someone to help us run smoothly and efficiently. Our Team Operations Manager will support day-to-day functioning of the team and business such as making sure that the office is stocked and set up for a productive work day as well as managing calendars, expenses, documents and information. In this role you’d also support a variety of special projects and team events, from helping us open our first office to launching new events and products with our editorial team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in operations management (loosely defined!) and is comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment. Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills are required.

This position is an opportunity for an ambitious operator to play a central role in the creation of a new kind of local news organization. The role requires physical presence in San Francisco, and we expect to be a largely in-office company, COVID permitting. We offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits.
