Woman dies on San Francisco Bay Bridge

The California Highway Patrol reported a fatality early Wednesday on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. 

As home prices tumble and construction slows, some planners are already worried that the Bay Area is ill-equipped for the next economic boom.

An 8-year-old boy was shot and gravely injured Friday evening during an Oakland freeway shooting, according to police.

Muni is still considering summer service plans and BART is reporting its highest ridership yet this year.

Police said they have no reason to suspect foul play.
