Dennis Duree is accused of killing a 45-year-old man and severely injuring a 38-year-old woman in a double stabbing on Dec. 28.

Witnesses told police a vehicle may have been involved. The venue was closed when the shooting occurred, according to its website.

On Wednesday, CHP officers found themselves unloading 40 to 50 boxes of Pocky—an addictive chocolate-covered biscuit stick created in Japan in 1966.

Officers responded just after 11 a.m. Wednesday to reports of a stabbing at the Windsor Hotel on Eddy Street. 

The nurses are in the middle of contract negotiations with the city with a $800 million budget deficit looming.
