San Francisco police discovered a dead man in Golden Gate Park on Thursday morning, a spokesperson said.

Officers responded to reports of the deceased man around 9:46 a.m. to the area of John F. Kennedy and Stow Lake drives, police said. Medics declared the man dead at the scene.

The San Francisco Chief Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as 74-year-old Raimon Davis.

Davis' city of residence is unknown, the medical examiner's office added.

Thursday's recovery of the body comes around six weeks after Kelly Koike, 37, of San Francisco, was found dead near Golden Gate Park at Fulton Street and 22nd Avenue on Aug. 13 as the Outside Lands music festival wound down.

Evidence of foul play was not found after the investigation, police said.
