Proposition F, a controversial ballot measure, ties San Francisco welfare payments to drug screening and treatment. 

The raise takes effect April 1. It applies to fast-food restaurants that have at least 60 locations nationwide.

Starting on Jan. 1, the typical PG&E electricity and gas customer will see their rates rise about $34.50—13%—compared with current bills.

The service will operate across Mountain View, Los Altos, Palo Alto, and parts of Sunnyvale.
