 The Department of Homeland Security has designated November’s gathering a “National Special Security Event,” spawning federal oversight.

The U.S. Secret Service will create security zones, which will affect everything from roads to planes.

The Fightin’ Irish beat Riordan 38-20 on Saturday afternoon as RL Miller scored three touchdowns and Jerry Mixon Jr. scored twice.

Reactions were mixed, but the people of Pacific Heights seemed to dread the Secret Service as much as the former president.

It’s an only-in-San Francisco story that includes obsessive nerds, bureaucratic obstacles, and a bit of serendipity.
