San Francisco will pay out about $7M in damage claims tied to giant sinkhole

A massive San Francisco sinkhole caused flooding in the Union Street shopping corridor near the Marina District last September.

Javon Green, 26, was booked on suspicion of murder and other charges in connection with the shooting earlier this week on an underground Muni train.

The officer shot Marc Child, 37, 11 seconds after he initially contacted him on the second floor of his parent’s home in the Richmond District.

San Francisco police are calling Sunday night’s deadly North Beach shooting an isolated incident that was not a random attack.

SFPD show body camera footage and name officers who fired weapons during a recent standoff, but details remain unclear about the incident.
