More than 70 non-citizen residents of San Francisco have filed to participate in the upcoming school board recall election.

The mayor-elect has named Staci Slaughter, a former executive for the Giants, as chief of staff. 

Officials expect the large snowpack to cause high river levels in several regions, particularly the San Joaquin Valley and the Tulare Basin.

While the death is under investigation, an autopsy has not yet been completed to determine the cause of death as of Wednesday morning.

Supervisors are mixed on the idea of closing Golden Gate Park’s main thoroughfare to cars for good.
