The governor’s approval rating improved slightly over previous polls, but evidently not enough to win him support for a presidential bid. 


The bill would have decriminalized psilocybin (mushrooms), ayahuasca (DMT), ibogaine and mescaline not derived from peyote.

Campaign records show the people trying to recall California Gov. Gavin Newsom paid their companies millions but claim to be owed more.

Newsom’s commitment comes after a state appeals court ruling found a UC Berkeley housing project was stymied over potential noise impacts.
