Is San Francisco casting a blind eye to the big business of corporate branding? All signs and banners point to yes.

Salesforce cut 10% of its workforce earlier this year as activist investors clamored for changes at the software giant. 

On a Wednesday investor call, CEO Marc Benioff said that in-office work will be subject to “rebalancing.” 


The company also plans to close some of its offices, citing bad economic conditions. 

Less than a year after cutting 10% of its staff, the company’s CEO said that it plans to hire thousands of workers.
