The Clay Theater on Fillmore Street will eventually screen 500 films a year. 

A smaller concept from the department store brand won approval to open on Fillmore Street, amid neighborhood opposition.


Opposition could keep a prime retail space from being filled on Fillmore St. It's another example of the city's out-of-control kvetchocracy.

The 2025 festival is back on, thanks to an eleventh-hour contribution from Ripple's Chris Larsen.

Organizers cited significant losses over the past two years.
