Popular California homebuying assistance program will be revived

The popular assistance program paused just weeks after it launched after a surge in applications.

The new law prohibits ski masks, balaclavas, and other face coverings for local and federal law enforcement.

Black lawmakers are proposing ways to remedy the long-lasting effects of slavery, but the 14 bills they unveiled do not call for cash payments.

"We must be willing to pursue change through new methods and fresh thinking," the former vice president said of her decision. 

The state is still partly at the mercy of conditions in the Colorado River Basin.
