An email to supporters Thursday suggests Daniel Lurie will challenge Mayor London Breed in next year’s election.

Mayor London Breed had endorsed Michael Bloomberg’s short-lived 2020 Democratic presidential campaign.

Mayor London Breed and Supervisor Aaron Peskin hammered out a compromise, which comes to a vote in September.

London Breed is doubling down on San Francisco’s Vision Zero goal of eliminating traffic deaths in the city.

Breed has been a major player in local politics since joining the Board of Supervisors in 2013.
