SF vehicle triage center exposes the challenge of alternative shelter approaches

As the Bayview Vehicle Triage Center reaches is first anniversary, questions remain over its success in meeting SF’s shelter needs.

The San Francisco Lowrider Council’s final cruise event of the year brought out a wide variety of cars onto 24th and Mission streets.

The 10th annual event featured hundreds of lowriders, classic cars and a car-hopping event that defied gravity.

Forecasters said a second, stronger system would soak the region in time for Presidents Day. 

On Sunday in San Francisco’s Castro District, everyone got to bask in warm, sunny Halloweekend weather, even ghosts, goblins and not a few goths.
