Just days after Mayor Breed garnered national headlines by declaring a state of emergency, some elected officials are pushing back.

A total of 55 homeless people have used the city’s relocation services since Breed issued the executive order on Aug. 1.

Breed’s spending plan marks a departure from her 2020 pledge to steer police funding to the Black community.
