A new proposal would bring back citywide voting for the powerful Board of Supervisors. 

Stefani currently represents the Marina District and other northern neighborhoods on the Board of Supervisors. 

The Board of Supervisors president followed the suspect in his car while calling 911. 

Max Carter-Oberstone was removed from the oversight board by the supervisors, on the advice of the mayor.

The group is withdrawing the measure after discovering that it would empower the Board of Supervisors, not the mayor.
