 The local school district plans to use its share of a settlement on education and training to combat teen nicotine use.

It’s the latest major legal battle for the company, which recently promised to pay dozens of states $438 million over similar claims.

California and several other states have so-called extended product responsibility laws for electronics. But do they cover vaping products?

“We take protecting our community’s health seriously and selling these products will not be tolerated,” City Attorney David Chiu said.
