The owners of the building where Louis’ Restaurant once stood aren’t looking for new tenants, casting doubt on the former diner’s future.

Supervisor Dean Preston is demanding answers about the yearslong stalled plans to open a new Trader Joe’s.

The facilities need to reduce spending by 15%, or $3.3 million, as part of the city's budget process. 

The "multi-sensory playground" is slated to open in 2026 at Pier 70.

Three companies agreed to pay the settlement fees for a 2018 lawsuit, with Walgreens taking the largest share at a whopping $229.6 million.
