A customer service rep confirmed the Downtown San Francisco store would be closing and merchandise will be subject to a 50% discount.

Mayor London Breed called for a mix of tax breaks and rezoning to build a new, improved Downtown San Francisco.

The Metreon, known for its Target store and IMAX theater, is expected to be sold this year to a local real estate group.
