Sink Hole Floods Multiple San Francisco Homes. Traffic Diverted

UPDATE: Five single family homes and one multi-family home were flooded as a result of the sink hole. The road at Fulton Street between 29th and 34th avenues remains closed.

A sink hole has burst a water main and caused flooding in the Richmond District.

The flooding at Fulton Street and 29th Avenue near Golden Gate Park is associated with a six foot by six foot sink hole, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

The 5R bus was blocked between 28th and 31st avenues.

The inbound bus service is now being rerouted via 35th Avenue to Balboa Street, to 27th Avenue and back to Fulton Street, according to SFMTA text alerts.

The outbound service is being redirected via 28th Avenue to Balboa Street to 35th Avenue and back to Fulton Street.
