All southbound lanes of Interstate Highway 680 are now open Thursday morning following a fatal crash in Pleasant Hill, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP responded to a 4:34 a.m. report of a man prone in the middle lane and issued a Sigalert at 4:43 a.m. closing all southbound lanes just north of Treat Boulevard in Walnut Creek.

The coroner was contacted minutes later.

At 5:21 a.m., the two far left southbound lanes were reopened. The CHP canceled the Sigalert at 6 a.m. and reopened all southbound lanes.
