About 44,000 households are still without power Thursday morning in the Bay Area following Tuesday’s storm, according to PG&E. About half of those households are in the South Bay.
Just over 14,000 customers are out of power on the Peninsula and about 7,200 are without electricity in the East Bay as of just before 10 a.m. In San Francisco and the North Bay, fewer than 200 are without power, PG&E officials said.
Tuesday’s storm caused the most storm outages since 1995, company officials said. Between Tuesday and Wednesday morning, PG&E crews restored power to about 435,000 customers in Northern and Central California.
