Downtown San Francisco Luxury Hotel Shooting Injures 1

A shooting near a luxury hotel in Downtown San Francisco's Mission Bay neighborhood has seriously injured one man, police said Monday.

The shooting happened at 12:01 a.m. Monday morning near the Luma Hotel on Channel Street, close to Oracle Park and the Chase Center.

ABC7 reports windows were shattered at the hotel after the incident. One witness told the news outlet they heard up to seven gunshots.

No arrests have been made, and the victim was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, a spokesperson for San Francisco Police Department said.

Luma Hotel said in a statement that no hotel employees or guests were involved in the incident, and the company is cooperating with police.
