San Francisco police say a 12-year-old girl who went missing last Tuesday has been found.
Police described Mayra Espinoza as having black hair and black eyes, weighing 85 pounds and standing at 5-foot-2.
Police say Espinoza was last seen around 4 a.m. July 25 at her home on Persia Avenue. She went missing later that morning.
In a statement Tuesday, police said officers found her around 6:15 p.m. in
good health, and called her family to say she had been located. She was soon reunited with her family, and that no foul play was suspected at this time.
Authorities had urged anyone who located Espinoza to call 911 and report her current location and physical description.
The San Francisco Police Department had urged anyone with information on her possible whereabouts to call its tip line at (415) 575-4444 or text TIP411 and begin the message with “SFPD.” Tips can be submitted anonymously.
