Amanda Andrade-Rhoades is a staff photographer for The San Francisco Standard. Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, she cut her teeth as a freelance photojournalist in Washington, D.C., where she went on to win a Pulitzer Prize for public service journalism along with her colleagues at The Washington Post for their coverage of the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. In addition to her work for The Washington Post, Amanda was a regular contributor to the Associated Press, Reuters, The New York Times and more.
