Emily Steinberger

Emily Steinberger (she/her) is a photo intern at The Standard. She was born and raised in the Bay Area, and previously worked at the San Mateo Daily Journal and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. She recently earned a degree in photojournalism and management from Syracuse University, where she led the student-run paper, The Daily Orange, first as photo editor and then as editor-in-chief. Part of what draws her to visual storytelling is that we can understand a photograph no matter our level of literacy or the language(s) we speak.
