2 Shot Near Oakland’s Castlemont High School

The Oakland Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. 

Officers arrived at the 8600 block of MacArthur Boulevard and found two victims of gunshot wounds, police said. The block is also home to Oakland’s Castlemont High School.  

The victims—a boy and a woman—are both Oakland residents, police said. They were transported to a local hospital and are currently in stable condition.
