A shooting near a luxury hotel in Downtown San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood has seriously injured one man, police said Monday.

Fluid510, a new bar and nightlife space in Oakland, wants to be a hip gathering place that is welcoming to everyone in the community.

The project, which will connect Caltrain to Downtown San Francisco, was rebranded as ‘The Portal’ last year. 

The fact that it’s expanding, rather than shuttering, makes it an anomaly in a retail stretch pockmarked by vacancies. 

The four-day event on a one block stretch of Fulton Street includes a booth for carnival food, a Ferris wheel and a number of spinning rides.
