The suspect ‘‘didn’t get very far before the BPD caught him,” a resident said Tuesday.

It took two days for Uber to call Mike Ramos after he was carjacked at gunpoint while dropping off a passenger. Then the company hung up on him.

The passenger said in a Reddit post that three men in ski masks opened the door and told them to get out.

The carjacking ended in a dramatic crash over the Sanchez Street stairs in San Francisco’s Castro neighborhood. 


Police said that the car driven off of a ledge near the Sanchez Street steps Saturday was stolen. The suspects have still not been found.
