Bottomless margaritas. Body tattoos. A trip to Mazatlan with San Francisco’s most devoted eclipse-seekers is like spring break, with more wrinkles.

Across the region and around the country, millions of people managed to look skyward safely, gathering in groups to take it all in.

Monday’s event at the Exploratorium hopes to serve up celestial wonder to visitors along the Embarcadero’s Pier 15.

The biggest event for decades, the total solar eclipse crossing the country has the Astronomical Society of the Pacific in power mode. 

Rain or shine, tech investors, founders and workers are traveling thousands of miles for solar eclipse blowouts.
