Man killed in daytime shooting in downtown San Francisco

A 52-year-old man was shot and killed in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district on Saturday afternoon, police said.

Officers said they responded to reports of a shooting in the Downtown neighborhood shortly after 1 p.m.

Police said they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds on Golden Gate Avenue between Leavenworth and Jones streets. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said.
