See Inside a Huge San Francisco Home Built in 1890 Just Listed for Sale

One of the first homes to be built along the Presidio Wall was listed for sale on Monday for $4.7 million.

The six-bed, four-bath house was built in 1890 and includes two spacious living rooms, a wood-paneled study, a sunroom, a laundry room and a two-car garage across 4,170 square feet. The kitchen includes dual ovens, a gas cooktop, a walk-in pantry and a terrace overlooking the Presidio.

The four-story house’s exterior is decked out with redwood shingles, according to the listing.

The home’s spacious rooms are painted white with blue and gray furniture and carpets, and they get abundant natural light. One of the house’s living rooms includes a fireplace, and a large chandelier hangs above the dining area.

The house also features vintage detailing, with diamond-paned windows, cut-glass doorknobs and dark hardwood floors. Other quirks include a safe in the basement.

The current listing price is a cool $4,790,000.
