Six people were injured Saturday morning after a tree fell on top of a group of people at a Santa Rosa park, fire officials said.
One person sustained major injuries in the incident, Santa Rosa Fire Department officials said on Twitter.
Firefighters responded to reports of the incident around 10:46 a.m. at Spring Lake Park in Santa Rosa, near Highway 12. One fire engine and five ambulances responded to the scene.
A video posted of the scene by firefighters shows a cordoned-off area with picnic tables between several large trees.

Four people suffered minor injuries, and one had moderate injuries, according to the fire department.
In January, a 73-year-old woman was killed by a falling tree branch in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
