Authorities have issued a $50,000 reward for information on a man who robbed a San Francisco postal worker in San Francisco’s Sunset District earlier this week.

The incident happened around 5:10 p.m. Wednesday near 47th Avenue and Santiago Street, according to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. The postal worker who was robbed was not injured during the incident.

The suspect, according to home surveillance footage shared by authorities, was wearing a black hoodie and a bright red cast on his right arm.

Officials urge anyone with information on the incident to report what they know to postal inspectors at 877-876-2455. If residents see mail theft suspects, authorities say they should call 911 and not approach them because they may be armed.

The recent robbery comes just over a month after three postal workers were reportedly robbed in one week around the Bay Area.
