Two Mission High School students were injured Wednesday in the first of two brawls among students and their families, according to San Francisco police.

Officers responded around 1 p.m. to the campus at 3750 18th St. and found a student who told authorities they were a victim of a battery, the San Francisco Police Department confirmed. Additionally, officers said they found a group of students investigators believed were part of the battery.

As police sorted out what happened, family members of the involved students got into a verbal spat that turned physical, authorities added.

Police said they made no arrests and that paramedics took two students to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
