Multi-car crash in San Francisco snarls traffic, injures four

A crash involving three cars on Highway 101 in San Francisco Tuesday evening has left four injured and caused a backup going back several blocks, authorities said.

The crash happened at 5:58 p.m. on Lombard and Broderick Street heading west, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

Two people were transported to hospitals with minor injuries while the other two who were injured refused transport, the fire department said.

There is a significant slowdown on Lombard's westbound lanes between Steiner and Broderick streets, according to Caltrans.

The San Francisco Police Department confirmed there was an accident involving three vehicles.
