Photos: Pride style on full display at SF’s Gay Beach

Thousands flocked to Dolores Park on Saturday for a sunny celebration of queer culture on the eve of the official San Francisco Pride festivities.

The city’s “Gay Beach,” as it’s called, was thrumming Saturday afternoon with revelers—their outfits daring and dazzling—who picnicked on colorful blankets under oversized umbrellas.

Here are just some of the portraits The Standard took of participants who caught the eye of Standard photographer Carolyn Fong.
