Two people and a dog were shot Sunday afternoon in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, police said.

Officers responded at 4:09 p.m. to reports of a shooting on Willow Street between Van Ness Avenue and Polk Street, a San Francisco Police Department spokesperson said in an email to The Standard.

Upon arrival, police found two victims and a dog suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers provided aid before medics transported the victims to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

On Monday, police said that officers stopped a vehicle southbound along Polk that matched a description provided by witnesses, detaining a female driver and a male passenger without incident. The two, who police declined to identify, were later arrested and booked into county jail.

A city Animal Control spokesperson told The Standard that the dog, an adult male pitbull, suffered two gunshot wounds. The dog was in stable condition at an Animal Control facility and receiving care Monday.
