Emily Dreyfuss is the culture editor at The Standard. Emily started out as a local journalist after college then made her way into national tech reporting at places like CNET and WIRED, and most recently ran a hybrid academic journalistic team at Harvard’s Shorenstein Center conducting research into media and memes. Her culture reporting has appeared in outlets like the New York Times, The Atlantic, The Guardian, and she is the coauthor of a book about how memes inspired the January 6 insurrection.
