The North Beach Farmers' Market will hold a special birthday bash on Saturday to celebrate its fifth anniversary and the news that it will now operate year-round.

The market has grown significantly since its founding, with the number of vendor stalls more than doubling to 30 weekly options, market organizers say.

The market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is located at Columbus Avenue and Greenwich Street.

This Saturday's special birthday market will include live music, raffles, food giveaways, discounted merchandise and apparel, and recognition of longtime vendors.
