4:30 p.m. Update: Weather conditions canceled the final Fleet Week performance of the Blue Angels Sunday along with other parts of the annual air show.

“We are all disappointed to announce that due to weather conditions, it’s been determined that it is unsafe to fly,” organizers announced on social media at 3:30 p.m. “Safety for performers and spectators is our number one priority.”

Fleet Week festivities were temporarily put on hold Saturday afternoon due to weather conditions, namely Karl the Fog.

He was modestly repentant.

The show did go on Saturday, obscured by fog. Sunday’s forecast is promising more of the same with partly cloudy conditions and 10 mph wind gusts. Scheduled for today is the U.S. Navy Parachute Team, all sorts of jets and, of course, the Blue Angels.
