Gunfire on Muni Sends Man to Hospital

A shooting occurred on a Muni bus Sunday afternoon and sent one victim to the hospital, according to San Francisco police.

At 5:51 p.m. Sunday, police officers responded to a report of a shooting aboard a Muni bus at 13th and Mission streets, finding a man suffering from a gunshot injury. The man was transported to a hospital and his condition is unknown, police said.

Reports from the Citizen app and SFMTA suggested that the shooting took place on a 49 Mission/Van Ness bus.

The suspect in the shooting fled the scene and has not been apprehended.
