The name of the alleged gunman in the shooting of multiple people in Half Moon Bay Monday has been released by the San Mateo County Sheriff's office.
The office named 67-year-old Half Moon Bay resident Chunli Zhao as the suspect.
Sheriff's deputies took him into custody at 4:40 p.m. after locating his vehicle in the parking lot of the Sheriff’s Office Half Moon Bay Police Substation.
Local supervisor David Canepa previously posted a photo of the suspect to Twitter.
Chunli was arrested for the shooting that killed at least seven, according to the San Mateo Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Christina Corpus will be holding a press conference at the Half Moon Bay Substation, 537 Kelly Ave, in Half Moon Bay, in approximately 30 minutes.
