Cat Rescued, Two Hospitalized in San Francisco Fire That Displaced 13

A fire in San Francisco saw two people hospitalized and 13 displaced on 14th Avenue in the Richmond District.

A cat was also rescued from the building but "will be okay," according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

The fire department was alerted to the blaze at 9:50 a.m. and arrived five minutes later. The blaze was under control as of 11:41 a.m., officials said.

The fire department also attended to a one-alarm fire at the corner of Presidio Avenue and Washington Street, which broke out around the same time as the 14th Avenue fire.
