The former San Francisco mayor and supervisor plans to announce his campaign in the next two weeks, sources told The Standard. 

As a supervisor and mayor, Mark Farrell spent thousands at some of the city’s fanciest bars and restaurants—with donors footing the bill.

'You can’t spin it any other way,' said one longtime political consultant. 'That it is good for his campaign and a really good showing.'

In his bid to become San Francisco’s mayor a second time, Farrell is embracing aggressive positions on crime and homelessness.
