More than a decade after Linsanity took the NBA by storm, Jeremy Lin is still setting records.

The Palo Alto High alum and Asian American basketball icon posted the first 50-point triple-double in Taiwan’s P. League+ (opens in new tab), a mark he set on Sunday as his Kaohsiung 17LIVE Steelers defeated the New Taipei Kings 116-110. Lin’s brother, Joseph, plays for the Kings, who sit in first place.

Lin finished with 50 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds (opens in new tab) to keep Kaohsiung’s playoff hopes alive. Cupertino High alum Gokul Natesan scored 12 to help lead the Steelers to victory, while Joseph Lin had 15 points and 11 assists for the Kings.

His 50-point outburst tied the league record, which was previously set by Indian icon Sim Bhullar (opens in new tab). The six-team league is now in its third season.

The Steelers are now tied with the Formosa Taishin Dreamers for the fourth and final playoff spot in the P. League+. It’s been a tumultuous season for the Steelers, who fired one head coach before the season and another after winning just one of 11 games. Three different men have coached games for Kaohsiung this season, including one in two different stints. Despite the instability, they remain in the playoff hunt with four games left in the 40-game season. Sunday’s win was the Steelers’ eighth in a row.
