Street closures are in effect after glass began falling from a Downtown San Francisco high-rise partially owned by the Trump Organization.
San Francisco firefighters ordered people to shelter in place at around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday after shards of glass dropped from 555 California St. in the Financial District.
A fire department spokesperson said there were no reported injuries and just one window was broken on the 43rd floor. A second window on the same floor was damaged but is being secured by firefighters.
Anyone who is sheltering in place can request an escort from firefighters, everyone is advised to avoid the area.
All of the streets surrounding 555 California St. are currently closed, including the intersections of California and Kearny, California and Montgomery, Pine and Kearny and Pine and Montgomery streets, according to the fire department.
The 52-story building is also known as the Bank of America Center and is part owned by the Vornado Realty Trust as well as The Trump Organization.
No information has been released about the cause of the breakage from one of the buildings' many windows, but an atmospheric river and high winds are currently blasting through the Bay Area.
