Muni subway services were suspended Friday morning between Montgomery and Powell stations.

The transport authority’s alerts service blamed an “overhead power issue” for delays at 5:47 a.m. between West Portal and Van Ness. Shuttle buses were provided along the affected route.

Then at 7:27 a.m. the M began switching back at Castro and the J switched back at Market, according to San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) alerts.
