Twitter is auctioning off items from its Market Street headquarters, including espresso machines, Apple iMac computers and even a bird statue.

A total of 265 items are listed in the sale, which starts on Jan. 17, 2023, at 7 a.m. and ends the following day at 10 a.m.

“High performance” office chairs, ice machines, ovens, refrigerators and projectors are also listed in the auction—as well as a 6-foot, 2-inch “@” symbol sculpture that doubles as a planter.

Heritage Global Partners is running the auction. A representative from the company told The Standard the items for sale are surplus.

The controversial takeover by new CEO Elon Musk has seen the billionaire make a point of lowering costs at the social media company.

Musk has already made sweeping layoffs and told employees that they must work in a “hardcore” way, even installing bedrooms at the company’s headquarters.

Friday saw the end of a catering contract with Palo Alto-based food vendor Bon Appétit Management Company, effectively lowering staffing further at the Mid-Market offices.
