Elon Musk’s Twitter is facing another lawsuit, this time for allegedly failing to pay its bills to a marketing firm.
In a Jan. 6 filing, San Ramon-based agency Canary, which designs and distributes branded merchandise, accused Twitter of ignoring $392,239.11 in invoices that began piling up in September of last year. Musk acquired Twitter on Oct. 27.
This is the second time Twitter has been sued for unpaid bills in recent weeks.
Two weeks ago, a landlord for Twitter accused the company of skipping out on $136,250 in rent payments for the 30th floor of an office tower at 650 California St.
The financially strapped social media firm, which Musk acquired for $44 billion under threat of legal action, reportedly stopped paying rent at many of its global offices last year, including at its Mid-Market headquarters in San Francisco.
Musk has also made drastic cutbacks at the firm that include mass layoffs; the company now faces a battery of lawsuits over alleged improper handling of those layoffs.
